Languages change lives, and in fulfilling our mission to provide students with the tools and language skills to live, work, study and travel in English with confidence, HSL School of Languages (HSL) is continually developing academic pathways and creating varied routes to and through college allowing students to flourish in higher education.
This new pathway from HSL School of Languages to Laurentian University will facilitate the admission of qualified international students from HSL who have completed the English for Academic Purposes General EAP and College EAP programs, with an overall average of at least 70%, to gain direct entry to open enrolment undergraduate programs at Laurentian University.
For HSL students with lower overall averages, between 65-69%, they will be eligible for admission to the University Preparation Program (UP)* and will be conditionally admitted to open enrolment undergraduate programs contingent upon successfully completing the UP program and meeting all academic requirements for the program(s) to which they have applied.
At the Masters and Doctoral level, candidates who have successfully completed the HSL English for Academic Purposes Program General EAP and College EAP with a final grade of 70% can be considered.
*Students applying for the UP program can enrol in two 3-credit undergraduate courses.
